Uniforms

Uniforms with correct patches including current rank are expected to be worn with pride as the scouts represent the Troop and the BSA.  An important uniform item, the Merit Badge Sash serves to show off a scouts achievements as well as encourage similar achievement in others, and is a required uniform item to be worn for ceremonies and rank advancement review boards.  Please make sure your son has a merit badge sash!  Not a uniform item, but just as important is the Boy Scout Handbook.  Get the ringed binder edition, along with a good protective cover…put his NAME on the book edge!

The Online Scout Shop provide all the scout uniform items. You may also be able to find these items in the Troop 33 Scout closet as we have many of these items from previous scouts or scout that have out grown their items.

Troop 33 will provide the shoulder loops, Neckerchief and slide and the scouts rank upon advancement and badges of any leadership positions they may hold.

Required items to be purchased by the scout family are:

• BSA Scout Shirt with US flag emblem (buy it larger than needed so there is room to grow)

• BSA Scout Pants/Shorts

• Council Shoulder Patch (Del-Mar-Va Council)

• Unit Numerals (33)

• World Crest and ring

Optional items:

• BSA Scout Hat

• BSA Scout Web Belt

• BSA Scout Socks
